Oct 18, 2008 Our company organised a mini sales conference in Warwick (boring!!!) for 4 days and 3 nights. For sales staff it was more important to know go for dinner, where the pubs are and where is the best nightclubs. For the first night 25 of us headed for the Art Kitchen (as recommended by the hotel reception) and supported by our local colleagues. Off we went to the Art Kitchen which served great Thai food which most of liked. The niblets were niblet sizes - tiny. So it just kept coming and yes we had room for the mains. If you know Thai food alot of it spicey with coconut gravy (curry type of gravy). There is a difference between Malaysian and Indian food. Thai food always had herbs in it. That was right up my street. I also like my food spicey - unlike my colleagues. If you notice guys always seem to eat like ganets and they will never admit when a dish is too spicey for them. They want to compete with a woman and show how macho they are even though their mouths feel like they have just swalled a ball of fire. A good way to tell is when they start to order more beer and everytime it goes down very quickly. So they start to get more tipsy well before stepping into a pub later on. How funny!!!! The ambience of the Art Kitchen is authentic Thai crossing over to Indian decor. It is lovely and very tastefully decorated. The service is fantastic and the food is really not very expensive. Ok ok so it was paid for by our boss but as I was his PA so I had to settle the bill and having looked at it - I was pleasantly surprised. It is also quite a popular place to go so not to disappoint try to make a reservation. It is centrally located allowing you to stumble off to a pub nearby is not a trek. Hence that was ideal for us as the lads literally started to stumble. Warwick is an old town (considered as the heart of England). It has a history dating back to the 14th century. My favourite is the cobbled streets and tudor architecture even in the city centre. Absolutely beautiful and so unique. Even the city centre is so beautiful and very English in every way you can imagine. The medieval Warwick Castle is a site you have to visit. It is so beautiful and yet creepy due to it's history. Please not Shakespeare got alot of inspiration in Warwick. If that alone does not inspire you to visit Warwick then I do not know what else will. Highly highly recommended. You will love it.
