My husband took me to Deane's for our wedding anniversary and it was truly an evening to remember. Our anniversary was on a week day so the restaurant was not too busy. We sat in the the lounge area and sipped delicious champagne cocktails whilst we chose from the menu. As it was our anniversary we went for the more expensive tasting menu with matching wines - all I can say is that it's nice to sometimes get what you pay for - each mouthful, each morsel was sublime. The sommalier was friendly and explained each matched wine for us without being pompous or pretentious, whilst Michael Deane, the man himself kept coming out of the kitchen to make sure all was well. We finished the meal with some choice Brandy, served exactly as it should be. We had a wonderful experience and Deane's is well deserving of its Michelin star.
