I discovered this place quite by accident one afternoon when meeting friends for lunch.  We were on our way to Stacks when the "Okra lunch special" advertised on the street sign for Mingalaba caught my eye.  I had never had Burmese before so I really wanted to try it.
Turns out it was a super idea.  It was a weekend the first time I went so I ordered everything a la carte (usually if you go during weekdays they have a lunch menu with salad+main as a combo.)  My friends and I split 3 plates - house special noodles, mango salad, and the 16 ingredient salad.  The mango salad was delicious, as was the 16 ingredient salad.   The house salad was something different.  It comes as its own ritual.  First they bring out the plate with all the ingredients separated into little piles.  Then they explain to you each ingredient (noodles, lime leaves, fried garlic, lemon halves, chicken or tofu, cilantro, peanuts, etc.) before they take two lemon halves, squeeze them on top of the dish and start tossing.  It was as mesmerizing for me to watch the procedure as it was to eat the aftermath.  I'm such a sucker for this kind of stuff :)
Definitely worth a visit!
