A friend recommended this place. Myself and a couple of other geckogo-ers were visiting in los angeles and I was able to get somewhat of a last minute reservation. There's about a one month wait for a reservation but maybe you can get lucky like us, 3 weeks out and was able to get in at 945pm on a Sunday night. Let me tell you, its worth it. You might ask how good can pizza or a caprese salad get? My questions exactly. This is probably one of the best meals I've ever had. Everything we ordered was amazing. The pizza here is thin crust and apparently very similar to the pizza served in Italy. My recommendations -- fried squash blossoms appetizer (we wanted to get the pizza as well but they were out), the caprese salad with the garlic toast for dippin, the truffle cheese pizza and white bean bruschette. Mario Batali...Iron Chef...you can't go wrong.

I know I was in LA to check out a travel show, but I was stoked the minute I heard we had reservations to "some place that usually takes months to get a reservation" and spent most of my time looking forward to it. I'm not normally a big fan of eating out for Italian because I make Italian food enough at home but the food here was GOOD. We ordered 3 appetizers + 3 pizzas for the 4 people and polished it off within minutes of arrival. I highly recommend the sage with truffle oil and four cheeses pizza, the fried squash blossoms, the white bean bruschetta with saba and the caprese salad. The staff was also really friendly and accommodating - two of us wanted cold water, two wanted warm, two of us wanted lemon...all delivered with a sense of humour. Great place, good value, and worth a stop if you can get reservations!
