I was in town visiting my aunt and arrived to the area late in the evening. This restaurant was close by, so I decided to check it out. Even at about 9:00pm on Friday, The Open Door was fairly busy and I had about a 1/2 hour wait, but that just meant I had plenty of time to decide what to eat. :) Based on the waitress' recommendation, I ordered the truffle-butter edamame, mini burgers, their braised beef, their salmon and yellowtail sashimi, and their mixed mushroom platter and a grilled rice ball.

The prices ranged from $4-$13 a dish, and everything was really delicious except the rice ball. I discovered new combinations of food that I hadn't tried before. My favourites were the salmon, the braised beef and the mini burgers. The only thing about coming here though is that it is a bit of a splurge. It came to about $70 for two and we didn't order any alcohol.
