The food here is really well done - great flavors and nice presentation. Shana Thai is a little more upscale than your average Thai place - both for the food and the decor - and prices are correspondingly a little higher also, but it's really worth spending a few dollars more for a meal here.

Since I moved down to Mountain View, I've been looking for good Thai food, but alas, despite all the Thai restaurants on Castro street, I didn't find what I was looking for.

I'm checking out Yelp and I see this Thai restaurant that's practically right down the block. So what's a self professed Thai-food lover to do? I go!

The place seems to be family run, and the prices were quite reasonable. What was really great though was that the food actually tastes really good! I ordered their papaya salad, and the eggplant basil.

So happy to have found this place.

Update: downgraded from 5 stars to 4 because their food has been very salty each of the times I wet to visit it recently.

Love the pineapple fried rice! Friendly service and late hours. Highly recommanded for Thai food lovers~
