I'm always on the lookout for great Japanese restaurants, so when this place was recommended to me and it turned out that the restaurant was practically right under my nose, I HAD to go. I went on a Saturday for lunch, and even though it was almost 2:00, the place was still quite crowded. I asked to sit at the bar, and ordered the Sushi Tomi special roll with hamachi based on the restaurant's recommendation, and it did not disappoint. The roll had hamachi and avocado inside with salmon and scallop on top plus a spicy mayo on the side. The rolls weren't crammed full of rice rice which is nice, and it was really neat to watch them take a blowtorch to the fish. The guys beside me ordered I believe from their Omakase menu, and had an assortment of fish appetizers and fish sashimi. It looked quite interesting! On weekend lunches, sushi is 15% off, but even still, the prices aren't super cheap or anything. My roll with 8 pieces came to $12.95, which means I likely wouldn't go get rolls every day, but it was a very enjoyable sushi experience.

Gotta say, man I still miss Vancouver sushi prices tho'!!

Had the lunch special on a Sunday. Salad, miso and a huge plate of beef curry with rice. Way more food than I was capable of dealing with :)
