I tried Burmese for the first time (Mingalaba) in Burlingame and absolutely looooved it. So given that I hate driving, I tried to find a closer location. A quick search online and I found the Green Elephant Gourmet, and moments later, my roommates were dragged out of the house and to the restaurant.

We arrived quite late in the evening and they had lots of seats open. We were seated immediately, and I tried to order the tea leaf salad, one of their fish soups and a noodle salad. The tea leaf salad was good, but quite salty, whereas the noodle salad was quite bland. The fish soup turned out quite tasty, but it was not what I expected. Rather than a chunky hearty stew, the texture was almost pureed. It was good, but a bit weird.

Prices were not bad, and the service was friendly. But would I go back? I'm not sure. I guess I just like Mingalaba that much more.
