This place is owned by a friend of a friend of a friend's. My friend's friend decided to organize a grand get-together to celebrate the launch and I happily got an invite.

I'm not one to turn down food invitations - especially for a cuisine that I had not yet tried. So I went. :)

Metro Kathmandu is a smallish little restaurant. Since the gang knew the owners, they left the food selection up to the owners. Out came dishes that I didn't know the names, but all of it was good. The samosas came with a lovely tangy tamarind dish, and what looked like a Palak Paneer (spinach dish) was delicious as was the lamb curry dish that got polished off quickly. Even the dessert, which looked not-Nepalese-nor-Indian-at-all (fancy ice cream) was quite tasty.
