Shanghai Dumpling King is an extremely popular Shanghai restaurant in Outer Richmond. While the place can get very crowded, service is fast. The restaurants specialties include their dumplings (xiao long bao - XLB's), the lion's head meatballs and their fried puffy buns.

My friend loves this place so, THIS was the place he suggested to go when we came to visit him. And it was definitely worth going! Their XLB's were delicious, as were the lion's heads. The dian dian mein was a bit hit and miss - first time super, second time the noodles were a bit overcooked for my liking. Their other dumplings were good too, though I was slightly disappointed with the vegetarian dumplings. The wait staff is prompt, and the prices quite reasonable. If I lived closer, I could definitely see myself frequenting this place all the time. :)
