It was a last minute decision to come to this restaurant. I've been a big fan of Gordon Ramsay's show "Kitchen Nightmares" (the UK version, not the US which has too much drama). And I was intrigued by the good value offerings he'd talked to restaurant owners about creating. Given that I was only in town for the weekend, it seemed like now would be the opportunity to try them. As luck would have it, they were open for brunch and they had space, so off we went.

Sunday brunch is a 3-course affair. Including the champagne the brunch is $40 USD, and you're to choose one appetizer, one entree and one dessert. I'll say at the end of that I was totally stuffed and ready to roll out. First course options included french toast, gravalax, a fois gras chawanmushi, risotto, the second course included a london burger, pig's belly, a pasta cabonara and rib eye, and dessert included lemon tart, chocolate fondant, a rhubarb panacotta and more. Since there were 5 of us we had a chance to sample a bunch of different meals.

The appetizer was surprisingly large, and I got almost full off that. The gravalax was even better than I expected, and I enjoyed the risotto and the fois gras chawanmushi. The highlight of the second course is definitely the pigs belly, though I'd have to say I wasn't adventurous enough to try the pigs brains that also came with the course.

Dessert to me was a bit of a letdown. While it was good, it had the weakest presentation. I also found some of the desserts too sweet for my liking.

Overall though, it was worth a visit, and to me worth the price.

Went to brunch here on a whim during our "dueling chefs" weekend (the night before was Batali's Osteria). The food was terrific all around with dessert being the weakest, although calling it "weak" is an overstatement. The rosemary foccacia is freshly made and while a small thing, it was excellent.

Our "main" (?) waitress was a little awkward although the woman who brought the bread and refilled our beverages was great.
