I am NOT a breakfast person. I don't do pancakes, I don't like eating eggs, toast and bacon. But I was tired as heck one evening and the Waffle House was right across the motel in which I was staying so I had to try the place.

And boy was I pleasantly surprised! It was dinner so I got their southern pork shop dish and found it to be well seasoned and tender. The cooking area is open so I got to see them cook and prep and after serving us, the cook came up and explained the little extra touches he added. It was really nice of him, and certainly not what I expected for a place I'd normally equate with Denny's. In fact I was so pleasantly surprised I even decided to order a waffle! My pecan waffle was pretty tasty, and even though they don't give you real butter I ate the whole thing. I'd say the Waffle House is probably your best bet if you somehow end up staying out here in the middle of nowhere. :) Oh, and the portions were so big I shared them and after tip and waffle it still came to like $15.
