The River Walk itself makes a 15-mile loop where people can walk, jog, bike, etc. On one end of it lays a beautiful park for families or anyone, after one passes the "Great Lawn", where hundred of thousands of people meet and celebrate fourteen days the last fourteen days of April which lead to the Great Kentucky Derby! (Derby Festival). The walk, which follows the river the whole time, continues on to the Water Works Museum (water colors exhibited all year long), a fish restaurant, a golf course, and many soccer fields. Coming back towards town, one will encounter the nation-wide known CSX Bike Park, the new Baseball Park, the longest Louisville Slugger, leaning against its Museum and Factory's door, artsy Main Street, gregarious 4th Street - very business-like in the daytime, that comes alive after dark; the Mohammad Ali Center, Frazier International Museum, the Louisville Science Center, and the Kentucky Museum of Art and Craft. These five museums can be found within two blocks of the river, and two or three blocks of each other. What a treat!
