Zelo (pronounced ZAY-low) is a contemporary Italian restaurant located on the corner of South 9th Street and Nicollet Mall in Downtown Minneapolis in the historic Medical Arts Building. It is just blocks away from the Convention Center, a convenient walk from most hotels. Zelo opened for business in June of 1999 to much fanfare and rave reviews. Quickly nominated for ‘Best Italian’ in the Twin Cities, it is a definite to-go-spot for diners downtown. Owned by the same restaurateur as Ciao Bella, Rick Webb has left his imprint on downtown.
