Situated within the Paris Hotel, Le Village Buffet features a number of food stations set up to resemble five different regions in France, both in the style of food and decor. At many of the stations, the food is prepared on location instead of in the back kitchen. Cooking stations include La Raclette, featuring melted cheese dishes, La Grillade, Le Boulevard with seafood and grilled skewers of meat, a crepe making station, a dessert station, and more.

The eating areas have been made to resemble a fireside room, or an outdoor town square. Expect lineups to be long, especially for sunday brunch.

During our impromptu Vegas trip, our culinary expert Aaron suggested that this would be the place to go. So like flocks of sheep, we went. The thing about Vegas buffets is that long lineups are everywhere. This was no exception. I went there for their Sunday Champagne Brunch, arrived around 11:00, and probably waited 40 minutes, which I considered fairly reasonable for a buffet around here. Their Sunday brunch runs about $27 a person, and includes champagne (duh!).

I'm not sure what I was expecting, but I was pleasantly surprised. There are many different stations, from crepes to lamb to seafood and grilled vegetables, and their dessert station had many different items to choose from, including creme caramel and creme brulee. Lovely stuff - for a buffet. My favourite station of all must have been their cold bar, with the crab legs and shrimp. Mmmm. :)
