Opened in 1913 by Jack Rosenstein, the restaurant has been continuously operated by the same family and is now under the direction of grandson, Brad. In his pursuit of excellence, Brad persuaded Certified Master Chef Dale Miller, one of only 60 in the United States, to combine their talents to create the ultimate dining experience. In their dedication to the tradition of Jacks, they have developed a menu to satisfy their faithful clientele as well as delight a new generation of Jacks customers. Oct 29, 2008 I love Jack's. It is a restaurant that is synonymous with Albany and as soon as you make your way onto State Street, you will see its sign. Great food and great atmosphere (my family has Christmas Eve dinner there every year), but I would suggest making a reservation. Often, you can go there and see politicians (you know it's good if they eat there on a regular basis).
