New York is the Mecca for gourmands like me...love to eat, cook and discover new tastes as well as alternative cuisines and ingredients...but I just can't trade the concept and kitchen of a french bistro for anything in the world! And, besides the delicacy of Masa and the elaborated Per Se...I'll always stick with Pastis! Personally I love the Meatpacking District, the whole 'raw' look with bricks and short buildings like taken out from an Edward Hopper painting is amazing! Well, lets pretend Im there and I went for dinner...Ill ask a Perroquet which is Pernod and Mini Syrup and for entreé the warm goat cheese...the famous 'Petatou'!! Then Ill probably have the Mahi Mahi with lobster sauce or the Pork Chops! And for side dish the superb french fries! I have to make room for the regular coffee and the dessert, which will def be the tarte tatin! MMmmm....miss those fresh nights there...hope I can do that on october! Enjoy!
