Although the restaurant itself is beautiful, like so many movie-set like restaurants in Ho Chi Minh City, the best thing about Com Nieu is the house specialty. For the signature dish of rice cooked in claypot, the waiters take on additional roles of pitcher and catcher - as the clay pot is tossed a not insignificant distance across the restaurant and caught, then smashed, and the contents served up to diners with special sauce. Its a spectacle that you shouldn't miss in HCMC, and all the dishes are fantastic.
