Geography of Andorra

Andorra is situated in the Pyrenees at an elevation of  about 1000 meters, with a total area of about 470 sq km.  The principality is landlocked and sandwiched between France and Spain.  It is roughly halfway between Barcelona and Toulouse. The land is covered by mountains, gorges and seven valleys, with four rivers running through them.  Much of the landscape is forested.  Most of the population live in the seven valleys.
