A little bit of Spanish is a must , the every day phrases without which one can't move around. People seldom understand English and virtually no one speaks it except for in the Embassies! Enjoy the night life, and the tango dances. Very friendly, laid back people. Wonderful place , far from the maddening crowd. Peso is the official curreny. Be careful at the shops especially when counting change. Lovely weather throughout the year. Buenos Aires literally means Good Weather:)
