Argentina What to Expect
Cataratas del Iguazu, Litoral Region, Argentina On a recent trip to Iguazu Falls with Children, including two one year olds we inquired about boat trips that were safe for children. No problems we were told - the boats are perfectly safe and comfortable for babies. Ok - they are probably safe - the babies were issued with slightly too big life vests and that meant they were difficult to hold. What wasn't mentioned is that you are driven underneath the waterfall - the whole idea of the boat trip is to put you under the fall - that's it, it isn't really a tour down the river - and you don't need to do it, in fact don't take any kid under 2 on it - they just get drenched and grumpy. Kids can stay on shore and parent/s, etc can go if they wish - they sell it as a point A to B trip, but point B isn't really that far away walking. So enjoy your views etc - the babies stay away from the boats!!! Good tip? (0) Buenos Aires, Buenos Aires, Argentina Buenos Aires rocks. Excellent night life, tango, bars, the men are hot. The ladies are also hot! Though I'm a female. Good tip? (0) Lago Blanco, Patagonia, Argentina Mucho viaje para llegar a un lugar en donde no hay muchas cosas por hacer. Si buscas tranquilidad en uno de los sitios más alejados de la tierra, Lago Blanco es tu lugar. Good tip? (+1) Alta Gracia, The Pampas, Argentina Home of Nuestra Señora de la Merced Church, a Jesuit Estate and also former home of Ernesto "Che" Guevara, now made into a museum. This city hosts every January the Festival de las Colectividades, where different immigrant groups show their culture and specially their food. Great oportunity for eating diversly. Good tip? (+1) Buenos Aires, Buenos Aires, Argentina Visit the cemetary in Ricoleta.
And Ricoleta is also excellent for food ! Good tip? (+1) Puerto Iguazu, Litoral Region, Argentina Stunning place and well worth the trip if you have to go out of your way to get there. On the Argentine side a train brings you into the National Park (no cars allowed) and I'd recommend going to the last stop first as if you run out of time by visiting the other stops first you'll miss the highlight of the falls - the Devil's Throat. Amazing. Good tip? (0) Lago Blanco, Patagonia, Argentina Mucho viaje para llegar a un lugar en donde no hay muchas cosas por hacer. iguazu falls are of course worth seeing from both - brazilian and argentinian side, but be sure not to miss the argentinian one as only from this one u get to see (from small distance) garganta del diablo (devil´s throat) - the most breath-taking part of falls!!!
don´t forget to take with u some bottles of water (as the one sold there is about 6 times more expensive) and some protection against mosquitoes! Good tip? (0) El Calafate, Patagonia, Argentina LLeven abrigo!! Porque sino se van a morir de frío! =) Good tip? (0) Mendoza, Cuyo Region, Argentina this is a great place

I swam for a while in December (summer) and came out completely blue. Good tip? (0) Buenos Aires, Buenos Aires, Argentina dont be such a douche and youll be fine Good tip? (0) Bradt Travel Guides |
