If you visit an Armenian friend, you will definitely be taken to Geghard. One of the oldest and most significant churches is situated in this village, which is crowded throughout the year. Visit the chapel that is carved from one huge rock.

When visiting Geghard Monastery, definitely sing a song in the big rock-hewn gavit (if you are allowed to by the clergy) - it has an incredible sound !
