I want to start off by saying that Palm Beach is absolutely beautiful and one of the most beautiful beaches I've ever been to in the world (and I've been to quite a few) - gorgeous, fine, powder-white sand, amazingly blue water, great swimming (i.e. calm), however, what blew me away (almost literally) was the ever-present, extreme gusts of wind. Now, people talk about the lovely trade winds in Aruba, but in my humble opinion, these winds were/are actually pretty fierce - you have to tuck in your beach towels into the lounge chairs or you will be chasing them down the beach, no joke. You get sand blasted every few minutes and as much as I was dying to enjoy the beauty that is Aruba, and Palm Beach, the ever-present wind gusts made it really challenging to, unfortunately. If it wasn't for these mad trade winds, I would go back to Aruba in a heartbeat - something to consider - hope the tip helps =)
