Potts Point is located in Australia's New South Wales region. It's not much of a tourist destination, and other travel spots such as Sydney, Manly, and Katoomba may be more interesting to explore in this area of Australia. Walk to the end of Victoria Street for a park with a great view, OR for my favourite view, walk just past the last shops and look to the side of the street nearer the waterfront and city skyline. There should be an apartment complex with a street sign pointing down the path between the connected building that says there is a staircase there. Walk through and it feels like you are trespassing even though you are not, and you can slowly see a view appearing. Go down the first flight of steps and you come to a comprehensive view of the Sydney Skyline (one of my fave views.) Follow the staircase down and it takes you to Wooloomooloo. You can walk along the waterfront which will take you to Hyde Park. Either follow the coast line for Harbour Views and end up at the Opera House, or cut through the Botanical Gardens following the signs for the Palm Gardens and you will find where thousands of Sydney bats sleep during the day. Keep going following signs to the Yurong Precinct and you will end up at the Opera House. Victoria Street in Pott's Point is lined with backpackers hostels. Except at Christmas and New Years, you should have no trouble finding accomodation there. (Between $18 and $30 per night for a dorm bed.) Roy's Famous Cafe has rude service, don't bother. Nearest Train Station is Kings Cross, or take bus 324
