It is a really good spot to watch the Fireworks on New Years. (You have to find a park off the main road and then walk down a staircase towards the waterfront.) If you are lucky you will get a bench, otherwise byo. There is a view of the whole harbour from there. Bus 324 from Circular Quay takes you there via Kings Cross.
