Travel Tips from people who've been to Bundaberg
If you need money and wanna find some work like fruitpicking, never go there!
This place is a rip off and the hostel owners are absolute blood suckers. These money-makers-working hostels provide you just enough work so you just can afford to pay the rent and you end up stuck there.
If you want a nice well paid farming job, look for farm stays in small remoted areas. They offer you long hours work, cheap rent and nothing there to spend your cash on ;) These jobs might be a bit harder to find and you need to get off the beaten tracks (having a car could be really handy), but it's really worth it and you'll meet great people there.

Bundaberg ( BARGARA) is however a great place to be to see the loggerheads turtles laying and hatching!!!!!!!! From November to March, just book a tour at the information center (they are around 10$), this is truly an experience of a lifetime!
The beach is really nice as well and fishermen, surfers and BBQers should find happiness there ;)

'The' place for fruitpicking. hostels are quite expensive but they act as working-agencies it was boring the time I was there. not much to do (except visiting churches, there are loads of 'em...), quite far away from the sea (with not really nice beaches)
