0189When packing food for your 4WD/camping trip to Cape York make sure you label the top of each food can with its' contents because as you are traveling on the unsealed roads the cans will rub together and the sticker labels will peel off. I didn't believe this tip until I got to Cape York with a whole lot of unidentifiable silver cans... trust me... you want to do this!

013You absolutely must drive the Old Telegraph Track, not the new road which is longer & really boring! You dont want to avoid one of the best places in Far North Quensland. Much better scenery, fantastic creek crossings, fishing spots and swimming holes along the way. Best time to go is just after the wet season around March/April.
