0322Last time when we have been there end of august 2007 there was just one luxury hotel. But as well a very nice youth hostel, called "Great Keppel Island Holiday Village". They have cool Safari Tents, but you can bring your own. Geoff is very helpful and friendly!!! But take spare food it might be that Geoff runs out of supply and there is just one restaurant for budget options. The Ferry is very convinient and much cheaper then to fly. But it is only a passenger ferry. As there are not really streets on Great Keppel, makes it perfect for snorkelling, beach walking and island discovering.

0134Kleine, nicht so bekannte Insel. Wunderschön. Allerdings waren wir etwas verwirrt als wir in Rockhampton aussteigen. Ein richtiges Bauerndorf, wo am Ortsein- und Ausgang Traktoren in den Kreiseln stehen, aha... Nach einer Busfahrt waren wir aber bald wieder am Meer!
