Seventeen Seventy, a small town on a narrow, hilly halfpeninsula above an estuary, was named to mark Captain Cook's landing at Bustard Bay on 24. May 1770. The main acess is from Miriam Vale on the Bruce HWY (a 60-km journey on a partly sealed road). There is also a secend acess from Berajondo on the Bruce HWY next to Bundaberg. Visitors will enjoy a beautifull view from Joseph Banks Natinal Park (take your camara with, it's a must)
