Travel Tips from people who've been to Warrnambool
Warrambool is along the coast where there once was a ship wreck. Downtown there is a show that renacts what had occured and during the day they have an old settlement to walk around (same location as the renactment and gift shop). If you go back to Melbourne from there, you should go via The Great Ocean Road. Its a bit longer but worth the trip. Good tip? (0) A rather cold place but well worth rugging up and heading out to, especially in winter for whale watching! Easily accesible by road or rail whatever your preference is.
Also good for history buffs as Warrnambool is part of the Shipwreck Coast Good tip? (0) try and go later in the year for greatwhale spotting as they make their way down towards the Antartic with their Calves Good tip? (0) Recent Updates for Warrnambool
