Cottesloe is a beachside suburb of Perth and contains one of the most popular suburban beaches. The beach is definitely worth a look and it's possible to pick up wonderful fish and chips on he main street and eat them watching the sun set over the ocean.

Travel Tips from people who've been to Cottesloe
Best beach in the world! Very fine white sand and great waves. Seriously good pubs with live music.. try the landmark OBH (Ocean Beach Hotel). Plenty of surfie style shops with trendy clothing, cafes and restaurants. I think they now have parking meters now... bummer! Sunday sessions are extremely popular and there are plenty of pubs to choose from. There is also some bus tour that goes from pub to pub from the city to the beach and I heard it was really worth doing. Find out what the shark alarm sounds like so you know when to get out of the water... helicopters fly up and down the coast watching for sharks, etc. So, plenty of warning is usually given but sometimes fools ignore the alarms and keep swimming. Good tip? (0) Go to the Blue Duck cafe in late Autumn (Aussie Autumn), and feel windswept and warm, whilst everyone else is hiding from the cool breezes... Good tip? (0) The beach is very nice, you can see it in my profile's photo. Good tip? (0) Recent Updates for Cottesloe
