Nickelsdorf Travel Guide

To be honest, I don't know a thing about the actual town or village of Nickelsdorf. I do know Pannoia Fields, however, the huge area outside of town where the Nova Rock festival is held once a year in June. It's an enourmous, loud, and dirty metal festival. The line-up of 2007 included Linkin Park, Within Temptation, Lordi, Slayer, Pearl Jam, and a host of other big and small names. 2008 had the likes of Judas Priest, Motörhead, Die Ärzte and Rage Against the Machine. It's a three day event with two stages. You're encouraged to bring a tent or a trailer. Do not expect the showers to work and be aware that there is only one ATM for the several hundred thousand people who will attend. People will drink and sing all night.
