Visit Sport Wegscheider for your ski and snowboarding rentals and any gear. The staff is very helpful, friendly, and speak English. They are located right across from the Hotel Strass and the base of the ski slope in the center of town.

I went skiing in Marhofen this weekend. I stayed in a very nice bed and breakfast place called Mariandl & Sanna. I can really recommend it. Very nice people there. You have about five minutes to walk to get to the town center, if you want to have some nightlife or to get to the valley station of the Penken Bahn. It takes you about ten minutes to get to the Erlebnisbad Mayrhofen, where they have a quite good sauna. At Mariandl & Sanna you also have the possibility to cook your own dinner in the guest kitchen, if you don't want to go out.

Fantastic ski resort with lots of snow and a glacier which is easy access ... you can walk from the resort to the lift that takes you to the glacier. Not advanced runs but blues and reds, but wide open space and fun to be had with the jumps and timed slalom!
