About Tyrol State Planning a Trip to Tyrol State
Innsbruck, Tyrol State, Austria It's an easy walk from the train station to the center of town. It's best to come in the winter time. The train from Munich to Innsbruck goes through some spectacular Alpine scenery. Good tip? (+1) Innsbruck, Tyrol State, Austria One of the best things I did while in Innsbruck alone for a week was to go hiking with the Alpine School of Innsbruck. This is the best thing ever!!! The School offers free hiking every morning and even an evening lantern hike. They even provide you with hiking shoes and a backpack, a guide and transport to the hike trail. They meet at the Congress Center at 9 am (check the city info office for more details on where the hikes are) and the hikes last 4-6 hours. The hike I did was long but so amazing that I will never forget my trip there. The evening lantern tour is fun too as you stop for drinks and music. I would never have gone hiking alone on my trip and the Alpine School offered me the ability to do one of my favorite things with a trained guide. Plus, I got to meet some very interesting people. Good tip? (+1) Mayrhofen, Tyrol State, Austria Visit Sport Wegscheider for your ski and snowboarding rentals and any gear. The staff is very helpful, friendly, and speak English. They are located right across from the Hotel Strass and the base of the ski slope in the center of town. Good tip?
