Beautiful City and nice people! Schönbrunn Palace is spectacular but I love Sisi museum more. That's so gorgeous and interesting. Christmas markets were brilliant! Romantic and unforgetable.

if you want to interact with locals and you are a fan of good alternative music, then take the U6(underground) and take off at "Thaliastraße". Not far there is a club called "chelsea" with good music and fine people.

There are relatively many people begging for money in Vienna. Just try to stay clear off them!

usually it's not your fault,if they shout at you in the street. just smile and take a picture ,so you have something that reminds you of the funny people in australia...erm...austria

Its a nice city for just a weekend. A lot of culture and stuff...wouldnt say the nightlife is bad, but its definitly not brilliant. Its a nice city to relax and enjoy your days of. Do not go there in the winter...unless you like shitty weather

Wien is very interesting city with big culture

take a coffee and a piece of the famous "Sachertorte" at the "Sacher" and then visit a performance at the "Wiener Staatsoper" if you like culture this will be an unforgetable experience

Make sure you go to the opera - even if you are not a fan of classic music the atmosphere is absolutely amazing!! You can get a ticket for the standing room for 2-3€ - to get one of these cheap tickets queue up on the left side of the opera at 6- 6.30pm to get in at around 8. There is no dress code but bring a scarf to reserve your space druing the brake. Enjoy!!

i loved vienna. music seems to permeate the cobbled streets. with roman aquaduct remains popping up unexpectedly, lonely sidewalk violinists playing mozart and chocolate you couldnt even dream of (including the famous mozart balls which, if you havent a dirty mind, are dark chocolate or for us uneducated "yanks" milk chocolate, covering pistachio chocolate. pretty effing amazing) vienna is a very romancy place. i was even lucky enough to catch a live performance of mozart (vienna claims mozart as its son) as well as some some ballet and opera while in vienna. a wonderful experience!! the best thing do do in vienna is simply walk the streets and byways, eat and listen to music.

It's convenient to feel like you're dreaming in Vienna. It's convenient to be pretentious about everything in Vienna. One way or another, you will find yourself reflecting in this polite city where getting melancholic and feeling happily romantic seem to happen amid the crevices of each breath you take. Here I am experiencing that while in front of the Hundertwasserhaus.

I love Classical Music. Vienna is a wonderful city to feel the inspiration that created some of the most beautiful works of all time. If you walk the streets of Vienna, you'll feel the ghosts of past composers about you humming a motiff of a Piano Concerto or scribbling down the opening passages of a symphony. Vienna, with it's wonderful food, cafes, museums, history, friendly people, and attractions is to me as memorable as any experiences I've had in Europe.

My favorite movie was also filmed in Vienna, Carol Reed's "The Third Man." Around the Ring All within the encircled District 1 (or known as the Ring; a hexagon of streets that go around the city centre) are amazing cathedrals, shops, tourists sites, museums, and great architectural wonders.

My most enjoyable experience was at the Kunsthistorisches Museum. The details of interior design of this museum is breath taking such as this picture of the entrance to the Egytian Exhibits.

The history is amazing in this museum. Not only will you see many great paintings, archaelogical artifacts, but you'll learn where the origin of the term "dollar" came from in the top floor exhibit of the history of currency which was fascinating. Visit Beethoven at the Zentralfriedhoff (Central Cemetary), the final resting place of over 2 million including famous Classical Composers: Beethoven, Brahms, Schoenberg, Strauss, and Schubert.

Vienna is a quiet city of a crowd of people in deep thought, and warmth, even in the oppressive winter months. You'll find lots of history here and if you're a fan of the movie "The Third Man", walking at night, you'll almost feel that haunting solitude of a Vienna night.

Want to do some biking? Borrow a bike and tour the danube island. It's beautiful in the summer.

Vienna has a royal feel to it -the museums, the history, the architecture (some guilded with gold). Loved it all!

Superbe ville il faut trios jour pour la visiter. À faire impérativement allé dans une pâtisserie du quartier de l’opéra et y dégusté un gâteau au chocolat avec un chocolat chaud un peu chère mais pour les gourmands à ne pas passé à coté. Superb city one needs trio’s day for the visited. To make gone imperatively in a pastry making of the district of the opera and y tasted a chocolate cake with a hot chocolate a little expensive but for the greedy ones with not passed to with dimensions.

If you're looking for something else for a change when visiting Vienna, you might want to consider a stay at the Austria Trend Event Hotel Pyramide in Wien Vösendorf. It is a 4-star hotel with a wonderful tropical swimming pool inside (and outside) a large pyramid structure. There are also inside tennis courts and other sportive activities.

A truly gorgeous city with fantastic architecture and history throughout! The museums are fantastic esp the main art museum, where you could literally spend all day. However when the sun is shining a visit to the river is a must although you may wish to avoid the artificial beach as it gets quite crowded. However if you fancy a swim there is a boat down river from the city centre where there is a swimming pool on board! The Kaffe houses are also a must see and a day trip to the nearby slovakian capital should be a priority.
