Geography of Bahrain 
Bahrain is made up of 33 islands off the eastern coast of Saudi Arabia in the Persian Gulf.  The terrain is generally flat and covered by sand and rock, with the highest point only 122 meters above sea level.  The total area is about 660 sq km.  It is linked to Saudi Arabia by a causeway.  The largest islands are: Bahrain Island, Muharraq Island, Umm an Nasan, and Sitrah.  Arable land constitutes only 2.82% of the total area, and desert makes up 92%.  Bahrain's natural resources are oil and natural gas as well as fish.

Bahrain Climate 

Bahrain has mild winters and very hot, humid summers, with periodic droughts and dust storms.
