Weert, Antwerpen Region, Belgium
Weert is a small town in the south of the Netherlands. Roughly, a 20 minute (25 kilometers/16 miles) drive from Eindhoven, the next big city. Because Weert is so small, there are few possibilities for accommodations. Only tweo hotels are available, Hotel Munten, a 3-star deluxe accommodation, and Golden Tulip Hotel, a 4-star hotel, both situated in the centre of town. Outside the town centre there is a holiday villa parc called "Vakantiepark Weerterbergen". A recreational area in the local woods surrounding Weert, where tourists may rent cabins/houses for 2 up to 6 people, and/or luxurious villas that accommodate up to 24 people. Recreational facilities include tennis courts, both indoor as well as outdoors, an indoor swimming pool, a mini golf area, a restaurant and bar, consisting of several bowling lanes, rentable by the hour. Centre of town is reachable by car in only ten minutes!

Antwerpen, Antwerpen Region, Belgium
All people saying you should skip Antwerp are fools! Antwerp has the nicest old city in Belgium and is famous for its arts, fashion, food and nightlife. You should watch your wallet, but isn't that everywhere?

Some nice hotels in Antwerp are the Antwerp Hilton, right in the centre of town, the Radisson SAS (near the park) and the Crowne Plaza.

If you want to go out at night, make sure you check out the unique club Café d'Anvers. Since 1989 it's the grooviest house-club in town. Other nice places to hang out at night are Café Local, Industria, or a bit further away La Rocca and Illusion.

Antwerpen, Antwerpen Region, Belgium
On Saturdays there is a flea market around the central square. It is great fun. We found some silver spoons there. None of them matched, but that is half the fun and we are not OCD enough to care. They were a bargain as well. It is also a great place to people watch since it brings out the locals and the tourists.
