(0) Jette, Brabant Wallon Region, Belgium It is very interesting to wonder around Brussels because of the big differences between one street to the next. After you have passed a ghetto like area where many foreigners live you arrive to Jette, which is a lower middle class area. The houses are small but in better shape. Jette also houses the most interesting museum in Brussels. The private home of Rene Magritte, one of the 19th centuries most famous Surealist painters. The house is in three storages. On the first floor you see the interiour kept from Rene Magritte himself. Even the paint is kept as it was when he lived there for 24 years and painted some of his most famous pictures. Also one of his dogs is placed in the living room. The second floor holds the history from he was a kid until his death and the developement of his painting. On the third floor there is an exebition of some of his special works like for advertisement and the shop where you can get posters of his pictures to a reasonable price Good tip? There is only 4 months left. Get over there. Good tip? (0) |
