When visiting Belgium, try to also stop by in Gent. This historical city is loaded with castles, original wooden homes, museums, and of course restaurants and bars that honor the traditions of Gent (Ghent in English). Each year Gent organizes a large festival named "De Gentse Feesten" (or as you probably already derived, The Feasts of Ghent). Walking through Gent is as if you are walking back into history. Quite amazing! Oh yes, ask about the Stroppendragers (Noose Bearers) when there!
