Uyuni Travel Guide

If you go to Uyuni you go there to see the saltflats. There is nothing else to do there.
Try to arrive there at night or in the early morning. The tours leave between 9 and 11am and you can book them on the same day in the morning. You can get them from 500bolivianos upwards for a 3 day tour with transfer to Chile to San Pedro de Atacama.
Get warm cloth, it is very cold there, especially at night, under 0degreese.
If you exit to Chile, get the exit stamp in Uyuni, you save a lot of time and maybe problems...

I recommend everyone to do the Uyuni trip starting from Tupiza. You'll see the far west of Bolivia and take an alternative route so you'll be able to take pictures without hundreds of people around you. You'll be visiting more as well and you'll end your trip on the Salar, so you'll be looking forward to it for three days.

HI everyone !! if you are planing to go to uyuni, make sure that in every trip you hire( all of them are by trucks ) they have akit with tools to fix any problem on the road. And always remember to take a lot of winter clothes, because during the day it is really hot, but during the night its freezing.
