Trebinje Bosnia and Herzegovina In the Roman period, Trebinje was known as Trijebanj. It was recorded in one Roman source of the Dubrovnik archive that the place was located in the Tervunija district. In the 10th century, the name of the district was Travunija and the name of the town was Tervunija.
