Travel Tips from people who've been to Jericoacoara
Jericoacoara is an absolute must for any windsurfer - check the wave forecast though and don't get there before August (beach is full of ugly seaweed, waves are small and wind is nowhere to be seen). The village itself is awesome; sand replaces concrete (sore calves guaranteed) and it incorporates the brasilian way of life. You should absolutely bring enough cash since there is no ATM in whole Jeri but a lot of very cute souvenirs to buy! Sunsets on "sunset dune" are so awesome that there is probably only cats and dogs left in the village around 5pm every night...

For a very cheap food at the kite-surfing beach village of Jericoacoara in northeast Brazil; get away from the poshy beachfront restaurants in town. Ask for Dona Nega "restaurant". It is a very nice old lady that prepares set lunches for fishermen. Her food is delicious and the best. CHEAP. Pay like USD 3 for a set lunch. Instead of the USD 30 midrange restaurants. In addition to locals interaction.
