Travel Tips for Transportation in Sao PauloSao Paulo, Southeastern Brazil, Brazil ................ saf[sa esaea Good tip? (0) Sao Paulo, Southeastern Brazil, Brazil a few taxi drivers tend to take the long way around so watch where your going. Locals are very friendly and try to accommodate you the best they can. this is a very busy city, the people are nice for the most part but when night falls stay in your hotel or in lighted areas more so if you dont know where your going or dont speak portuguese stay put at night.. Good tip? (0) Sao Paulo, Southeastern Brazil, Brazil The minivans, called Piruas, are a cheap and fast way to get around. They go between pre-determined point A and point B along a set route and you pay a set price of around 1.50 USD independent on where you get off. Good tip? (0) Sao Paulo, Southeastern Brazil, Brazil dr stau isch echt muesam und stadt isch eifach z gross Good tip? (0) Sao Paulo, Southeastern Brazil, Brazil sao paulo is a fascinating city! i confess i really don´t like the architecture especially because of the recurrent destruction of historical and cultural buildings that goes on in the city. praca da se and its church are among my favorite places. vila madalena has a lot of nice bars and restaurants. and the Ibirapuera park is amazing! avoid showing money in public and be aware of your surroundings. sao paulo is a huge city so some extra precautions are in order. people are the nicest in the "periferia" or poorer neighborhoods in the outskirts but it's better to go with friends first until you know your way around. the metro is very good but it doesn´t go everywhere. taking the bus is very common, especially in the periferia. sao paulo can feel intimidating at first but it is really an amazing place. check the papers and ask "paulistas" (people from sao paulo) about free cultural events. there are plenty!
