Southeastern Brazil What to Expect
Ilha de Sao Vicente, Southeastern Brazil, Brazil BarequeƧaba beach nice and calm, perfect for a family with young children. Good tip? (0) Rio de Janeiro, Southeastern Brazil, Brazil If you are a female solo traveler, look for the "ladies only" car on the subway. It is technically in operation as ladies only during rush hour on weekdays (peak traffic) and is decked out with some pink to easily designate it from others. The platform will delineate where the ladies car will stop. Look for MULHER (= woman) in Portuguese! Good tip? (+5) Sao Paulo, Southeastern Brazil, Brazil Go to Rubayat Baby Beef for your best ever meat experience ! Good tip? (+2) Rio de Janeiro, Southeastern Brazil, Brazil Rio is a city filled with just about everything desirable and undesirable in a city of its size. The people are beautiful, the beaches are beautiful and the food is excellent and CHEAP. The downside is that you really need to either stay in safe areas, or have some Brazilian friends if you really want to venture out. Luckily, I had met an exchange student in the U.S. before I travelled to Rio. Once I got there, he took me to all of the cool clubs, the best beaches that tourists don't know about, and restaurants off the beaten path. I never would have seen Rio this way if it was not for him! Good tip? (+1) Rio de Janeiro, Southeastern Brazil, Brazil Cidade Maravilhosa ! Nice beaches, great people and a lot of nature! Good tip?
