Pomerode is an ex-German Colony in the south of Brazil in the state of Santa Catarina. The German language and the dialect of Pomerode are widely spoken among its inhabitants, however Portuguese is the official language, because it is Brazilian territory. The town is very beautiful and sweet with typical German architecture and most people living there are German descendants. There you find a variety of local restaurants who serve mainly German food.
