Lubica's Tip on Ilha Grande
Ilha Grande, Southeastern Brazil, Brazil
amazing island with beautiful beaches (no crowds of tourists!) and interesting rainforest nature (don´t forget protection against mosquitoes). no roads on the island; transport only by walking or boat. expensive accomodation and food and drinks (as they have to import everything from the mainland). connection by boats from/to mangaratiba or angra dos reis few times per day (twice?) - check the hours in advance!
10.
Lina's Tip on Sao Paulo
Sao Paulo, Amazon Region, Brazil
The city is HUGE so be prepared with instructions and a trusted taxi to bring you to your destination. All the while, admire the views because this city is unlike many others - the contrasts are brutal, between the rich and the poor neighborhoods. All the same, I would love to go back someday.
