British Virgin Islands Dos and Don'ts
Travel Tips for Dos and Donts in British Virgin IslandsTortola, British Virgin Islands Since this is the island under British goverment british laws apply! It effected me when I tried to smoke in a restaurant because smoking is not allowed in any public place except the streets. There is nothing to do downtown. You can walk around but there is nothing interesting to find except few restaurants, international food shops and things like that. People seem to be bored and they are not very friendly or talkative. I couldn' t realize what's their problem. If you want to relax go to the beach on other side of the Island because Tortola has probably the nicest beaches in the Caribbean. However I wouldn't recommend this island to the people willing to party unless you come with a group of friends. In that case the place doesn't metter at all! Good tip? (+1) Virgin Gorda, British Virgin Islands Virgin Gorda is just a beautiful island with white sandy beaches and friendly people who really are nice to meet and talk to. The Baths are a great park and beach that everyone must see if you go there. The water taxis are the only way get around on the islands because they also provide transportation to other spots and the bars and restruants are a great find venture out and go to the smaller one to find the local flavor and food. Good tip? (0) Road Town, British Virgin Islands Road Town is pretty primative. Don't expect a large array of food, or good water pressure. The upside? They'll put your Cuban cigars in "Product of Honduras" containers. Good tip? (0) Top Cities in British Virgin Islands |
