The Angkor Wat temples are a class apart ... simply not to be missed if you are anywhere near that part of the world... could not understand how they never made it to the new list of the seven wonders... while there, spend more time on the few main temples rather than covering all...the temples are laid out over a vast area and you need conveyance to go from one to the other... best organised from Siem Reap in the form of a private 3 or 4 wheeler that takes you to Angkor, shows you around and brings you back for the night (no hotels/restaurants in Angkor)... within the temples there is much to be mesmerised by... climb up the temples too if you can for another perspective... if you get a chance, chat up the few monks you may meet there ... they are lovely people and some are very keen to talk to you ... also when you come out, its worth buying a little postcard or souvenir from the little children there... they have written it with their hands, it puts a smile on their faces, and its a loving memory of the place...

Senmonoroum, small village is a capital of Mondulkiri region. There is plenty places, where You can stay (4-8 US dollars), and eat and drink good cambodian coffee with condensed milk. And then it is good choice to rent a motorbike and explore region. You will see beautiful waterfalls in forests, peaceful villages where people are, like in all Cambodia, so smily and talkative. I could ride on red, dusty roads forever. welkome in the wildest par of Cambodia!
But it is too dangerous to go to a jungle or forest by yourself, there are places where hundreds misfires are.
There is possibility to walk in a jungle with a guide, or spend all day on elephant back and it is cheap (25 US dollars per day).

I had a stop in this little town because of I was interested in the dolpins. The dolphins can usually be seen right from the river bank, but it’s worthwhile to take a spotting cruise in one of the wooden long-tail boats available for hire.

But I couldn't see about them toooo much, unfortuntely. The locals said this is better in the early morning, but in the middle of the day they are "lazier". :o)
