Canmore Travel Guide

Here, in Canmore you can see the beautiful Rocky Mountains right outside your window. The air is always crisp and moist in the mornings!

In the hills, you can go horse back riding on huge horses! I still remember it like Yesterday!

But, there are downsides. There is a chance of bears eating you. Also, there is an underground infestation of Ground Squrrels.

I would advise going here for a nice skiing trip in the winter, or a beautiful trip to the trails in Summer! Enjoy!

Canmore is between Banff and the rugged Kananaskis Valley to the south.  Canmore is a good place to stock up on food and gear, and it is much, much cheaper than Banff.  Canmore is a real town with real people. Not so, in Banff.  Banff is a Gucci town.  Canmore has a neat little railroad museum, an the Canadian Railway system is an exciting way to travel.  Very beautiful place... moose, Rockies, hot sun, Alberta wild roses....

Canmore is wonderful, not quite as pricey as Banff, but not in Calgary either. a short drive to either, with mountains (the three sisters) outside your window. They also have a scottish event in the summer.

There are bear warnings every once in a while - we were warned to avoid areas (not in the city though). And they were getting overrun with cute bunnies, but a very nice visit!
