008A very small town in the middle of British Columbia. It sits at the southern end of the Alaska Highway which leads through the Yukon and on to Alaska. Mostly a farming community, it can get bitterly cold in the Winter. So much so that the river (forgot the name) freezes over. It seemed to me that the most popular hang out was the Pizza Hut, just near the river.

0016Quesnel sucks. Everything on the west side of Canada is crappy. The roads are bad, there is hardly anything to do, not many hotels or places to eat. I don't recommend ever driving through there.

002The Super 8 on top of the hill gives a beautiful view of the area and is close to Boston Pizza, an ideal place to stay if you are in town for sports tournaments.
